These dogs have low exercise requirements and will use up most of their energy through play at home. One good walk a day will be enough for this lovely little dog.

Owners: They are affectionate and loving towards their owners and form strong bonds with the whole family.

Children: Very good around children, will love to play with them.

Other Pets: Are known for being good around small pets including cats.

Strangers: Are a bit wary of strangers. They will need to be well socialised to avoid this.

Other Unfamiliar Dogs: The Kyi-Leo is always looking to play and will want to do so with any other dogs that it comes across. Will always be friendly towards unknown dogs.

What to Watch Out For

These dogs are known for barking excessively and their long fur coat will need daily grooming to prevent matting. Their long coat might bring in mud and dirt into your house.

Health Risks

Not too much to mention here; slipped patella and some form of joint trouble in old age.

Ideal Owner

The perfect owner of the Kyi-Leo needs to have the time to take care of the dogs daily grooming needs and has to love to play. This dog needs play, if you don’t have time for this then do not get this dog.
